BRIEF BIOGRAPHY

Dr Emmanuel Amaechi NWOBI is a Consultant Community Physician and Epidemiologist. He obtained the MBBS degree in 1990 from University of Jos, Nigeria and Master of Public Health (MPH) in 1997 from University of Lagos, Nigeria. He had his residency training in Community Medicine in University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital and obtained the Fellowship of The Medical College in Public Health (FMCPH) in 2004. He has undergone continuing professional education in teaching methods, public health research in infectious diseases, bioethics, mentorship, case-based teaching methods, research methodology, health policy and management.
Currently a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Community Medicine, College of Medicine, University of Nigeria and Honorary Consultant in Community Medicine in the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital (UNTH) Enugu. Teaches International Heath, Environmental Health and Epidemiology of Communicable diseases. He coordinates the residency training in the Department of Community Medicine, UNTH. He also provides clinical care and mentors resident doctors in HIV medicine. He holds an adjunct appointment as Senior Lecturer in Ebonyi State University Abakalilki where he teaches Health Planning, Management & Policy and International Health.
